Till Management and Fund Transfer Procedure
Objective
This SOP outlines the steps for managing tills and transferring funds between the store safe, tills, and the bank.
Key Steps
Accessing the Till Management Section 0:00
From your dashboard, scroll down to ‘Store’.
Click on ‘Till’ to access the till management section.
Transferring Funds from Store Safe to Till 1 0:11
Click the three-line menu in the top right corner.
Select ‘Transfer Amount’.
Choose ‘Credit to Till’.
Set the source as ‘Safe’.
Enter the amount to transfer (e.g., $1,000).
Click ‘Submit’.
Transferring Funds from Bank to Store Safe 1:21
Select ‘Till’ again.
Click the three-line menu in the top right corner.
Select ‘Transfer Amount’.
Choose ‘Credit to Till’.
Enter the amount to transfer (e.g., $5,000).
Click ‘Submit’.
Verifying Fund Balances 2:24
Check the balance in ‘Till 1’ and ‘Store Safe’ to confirm the transfers.
Creating a New Till 3:13
Under ‘Store’, click ‘Till’.
Click the three-line menu and select ‘New Till’.
Choose the store for the new till.
Name the new till (e.g., ‘Front Till 2’).
Set it as a ‘Shared Till’ and click ‘Save’.
Closing Out Till 1 3:28
Confirm the balance in ‘Till 1’ (e.g., $2,225).
Uncheck any options to transfer funds to the safe or bank.
Click ‘Submit’ to close the till.
Transferring Funds from Safe to New Till 4:09
Open ‘Till 2’.
Click the three-line menu and select ‘Transfer Amount’.
Set the source as ‘Safe’.
Enter the amount to transfer (e.g., $2,000).
Click ‘Submit’.
Transferring Funds from Store Safe to Bank 5:24
Select ‘Till’ from the store menu.
Click the three-line menu and select ‘Transfer Amount’.
Choose ‘Transfer to Bank’.
Enter the amount to transfer (e.g., $3,000).
Click ‘Submit’.
Final Verification of Balances 6:12
Check the balances for ‘Till 1’, ‘Till 2’, and ‘Store Safe’ to ensure all transfers are accurately reflected.

Always double-check the amounts before submitting transfers to avoid errors.
Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to perform fund transfers.
